THAR SHE BLOWS!!!!!!!

Everyday we make a decision whether it is big or small it effects our life in some way. it could be whether to something healthy or to venture off into that yummy cream filled, chocolate covered doughnut that will taste great! but in the end may have not been the best food choice. whatever the choice may have been you made it and will have that decision with you for your whole life. that is what life is about, making decisions for the better or worse.
"no the old man said. your with a lucky boat stay with them."(pg.10) this is were the young boy made a decision that affected his life and Santiago's. if the boy chose to stick with santiago on his fishing excursions, this may have mad his parents mad. so he made the decision to find a new boat that was a "lucky" boat. if the boy did not obey his parents and still fished with Santiago, he would have helped reel in the marlin with Santiago without the sharks eating it before it even got to shore.
" the old man was thin and gaunt with deep wrinkles in the back of his neck. the brown blotches of the benevolent skin cancer the sun brings from its reflection on the tropic sea were on his cheeks. the blotches ran down the sides of his face and his hands had the deep-creased scars from handling heavy fish in the cords."(pg 9-10). they old man was not old and was weaker than some of the other fisherman in the town. he was older than them all and health wise was so as healthy. Santiago had many disadvantageous.
Another disadvantage Santiago had was his equipment. He had old and battered equipment while the other fisherman had larger boats and better fishing equipment. Also when Santiago reeled in the marlin he only had a thin fishing line and very little stegth to bring the giant marlin in himself.
The sharks were a obsticle and disapointment for Santiago he could not fight them off and they ate the marlin. This saddened Santiago because he felt the marlin was a freinds to him and that the great fish went to waste when he eattin by the sharks.
Even though Santiago never got that "BIG CATCH" he still survive the fight and that was life is about getting through the battle and seeing the real side of things in the end!

No worries, No hurry

Hmmmm.hmmmm.hmmmm the loud vibrating noise of Tessas cell phone went off " I suppose i should get that" she said to herself. With a yawn stretch and a crack of her back, Tessa lazily got up to look and see who called her, "ugh Remy what am i going to do with you, why do you always get up so early" Tessa picked up the phone and called her back. "Hey girl" Tessa said
"Tessa, Tessa why didn't you answer when i called, it's the last week of summer, wake up already" Remy laughed to herself "you and Char need to get down her asap we have such a busy day ahead of us".
" Okay, Okay calm down we will be up there soon" Tessa replied
" Okay good! Can't wait to see you" Remy shrieked
Tessa set her phone back on the table, so she could go wake up her sister Charlotte, this was going to be a challenge Char was not a morning person so waking her up this early was not going to go well. Opeing the door a crack Tessa peered into a blank lifeless room. To her surprise it apeared Charlotte seemed to be already awake. Closing the door behind her, Tessa made her way to the kitchen Charlotte was down there taping her foot on the tile floor. "Goodmorning sunsine" mocked Charlotte " forget about something today" Tessa sat and ate her waffles in silence. Then finnaly it hit her "Remys going away party!" Tessa bolted up the stair ran straight to ger closet threw on a t-shirt and shorts and was out the door. It was only a quick walk to town, it was over all a great day to be out side it was around 90 with a nice breeze and you could see miles out into the ocean. The girls arrive at the store around 11, there parents Charlie and Nina greet them with a smile and a hug. "You girls ready for the party" Nina asked. "NO WAY!" the girls said in unison " we dont no were to start and on top of that i dont no how to walk around town, with Remy lurking the streets, shes always been so good at catching on to surprises" Charlie quickly cut into Charlottes lecture "well i could always help you out,i can go call Remy and see if she can work the register for a few hours this should give you enoght time to get all the things you need for the party". The girls both relieved from there stress bolted out the store and out into the street, " your welcome" called Charlie but the two girls were to far away to hear him."

Book Review for My Sisters Keeper

Jodi Piccoult, a well known author, a author who took a extremly hard topic to dicuss and made it into a awarding winning book. How hard it is to have a sick child? Jodi Piccoult told us this in her book. How hard is it to drag another child of your who was genitally made to fit that other childs DNA? Well thats another not commonly asked problem Jodi answers in her novel.
If i was suppose to rate this book i would give it 3 out of 5 stars. Yes, i loved this book, but sometimes the writing style was confusing and boaring at certain times. Every chapter it would switch back to a differnt view a chracter had or the topic they were going to talk about, even the time periods would change. This would allow you to make a hypothesis on what happened prior to the events that just occured. Besides the switching of charters view in every chapter i enjoyed the book. At some periods in the book i almost felt myself about to cry the topic was extremly hard to discuss and the events that happend seemed so tragic to me, i relaized how much strength you must have in life. I grew attached to character and sometimes even felt as if i was in the story, as a person in the back round or over hearing a conversation. The author died me in and wouldnt allow mw to put the book down until i finished. This is why i gave the author 3 out of 5 stars. Not the best book i have ever read but not the worst book i have ever read either..

The Crazy Places Were Friendships Begin!

"A Child Called It" and "How I Live Now"

'David why did you do that!" Davids mother screamed, "what?" Davis asked in a hushed tone, "You know exactly what you have done ruined this family!" yelled mother. With a sigh, yawn and a quick slapping by mother he was ordered off to bed in the cold, damp garage for the night. Right then and there he wished he could find somebody who would understand he insane lifestyle and his pain from it.
"Daisy, hurry your father is waiting out in the car you dont have all day." Daisy new stepmother called. " Sorry i was just packing up my last few things, im a little nervous about the trip" Daisy exclaimed. "Change is always good, you know" her stepmother replied, "I guess.....opps i completly forgot" said Daisy "my flight, see you in eight monthes" she called as she put her bags in the car and drove away. Minutes later she was at the airport, her dad left her and she was by herself waiting to boared wondering if she made the right decision leaving her family and freinds. Here, Daisy sat wondering if she could ever meet a freind who could understand her crazy and disorganized and heart breaking life.
It was summer, a time for fun and enjoyment but for these two kids, many miles apart were looking for one thing a true freind. Daisy aka Elizabeth is a New Yorker she lives with her dad and her father new wife. Reciently her stepmom became pregnant and to avoid excess drama in the house hold Daisy decided to spend the summer and a few more monthes with her cousins and aunt that she has never met.
David is a 11 year old boy from a small town in the midwest he lives with his four brothers, father and insane mother. During the coarse of his life he was beat and put through great amount of torture by his mother. All David wanted was to be treated like a kid and have fun like his brothers always did, instead of being treated like a slave in his own home.
After Daisy spent almost a year and almost a year and a half because of an outburst of wars in the england this made it unsafe for Daisy to fly back home, for monthes Daisy roamed with no sign of her cousins and fought for her self willing to survive. Finnally, Daisy was able to fly back home to her family. At the airport the same day David was flying into to New York, to visit family and for a vacation, all he could wish for was that mother wouldnt hurt him and use him as a slave. As David walked off the plane and into the the airports waiting room, he noticed a girl this girl was Daisy. Daisy noticed him and usually a shy girl went up to him and like old freinds started a conversation. Unfortunatly time passed to quickly and they both had to leave to go with there family they exchanged number quickly and then rushed off back to there normal everyday lives.
When David arrived home a week later he decided to call his new freind Daisy. The two started talking about family and freinds. Soon the two knew everything about each other and how David mother abused him and Daisy new stepmom who she disliked. The two shared a very strong freindship even though they were miles apart.
David and Daisy taught eachother many things. David taught Daisy that when things are going your way to watch for that little ray of sunshine even though skies may seem gray, Daisy taught David that one day you will have a good life and that this stage of it is only a bump in the road.
Daisy and David showed the true meaning of freindship even though it seemed like they were from differnt times.
